Powerbook NT - performer

This was the last show I performed in before coming back to Scotland with my young family. With Fiona Shaw and Saffron Burrows in the room, and Deborah Warner at the helm of bringing Jeanette Winterson's novel to life, I was very much the quiet observer through this rehearsal process. I learned about scale, and stretching the limits of theatricality through use of audio and visual effects. My role very often was the comic counterpoint underscoring the rich and sumptuous world Deborah created with her team. I was so honoured to be part of this beautiful stage show that toured to Paris and Rome. Of all the shows I've been in, this is the one I wish I could have sat in the audience for. Years later I still draw on what I learned in my time spent with this powerhouse of women.
